DC Comics and All Elite Wrestling (AEW) have announced a first-of-its-kind crossover event that will see the Justice League join forces with AEW’s top wrestling stars in a two-issue comic book series. The partnership kicks off with an exclusive preview available only at New York Comic Con this October.

A Clash of Titans: The Justice League Meets AEW

Written by Steve Orlando and illustrated by Travis Mercer, the 48-page, two-part saga brings together AEW’s biggest names (including Mercedes Moné, Jon Moxley, Will Ospreay, Toni Storm, Kenny Omega, and Darby Allin) with DC icons like Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Nightwing, Zatanna, Harley Quinn, and Green Lanterns John Stewart and Guy Gardner.

The story follows this unlikely alliance as they set out to recover the legendary Big Galactic Belt before a cosmic disaster reshapes both worlds.

A Partnership Beyond the Page

The collaboration doesn’t stop at the comic. AEW will co-promote DC K.O., an upcoming event series from Scott Snyder and Javier Fernandez, across its broadcasts, digital platforms, and social channels. In turn, DC Comics will serve as presenting sponsor for AEW’s marquee pay-per-view event, Full Gear, taking place November 22, 2025, live from Newark, New Jersey and streaming for U.S. subscribers on HBO Max.

Additionally, variant covers featuring AEW wrestlers will be released alongside DC K.O., putting the worlds of superheroes and wrestling head-to-head in eye-popping artwork.

Why This Crossover Matters

I've always said that professional wrestling and books share the same DNA: epic storytelling, larger-than-life characters, dramatic rivalries, and the eternal clash of good versus evil. This is true of comic books as well...perhaps even more so.

Earlier this year, Ronda Rousey announced the launch of her own graphic novel Expecting the Unexpected, through Artists Writers and Artisans. The graphic novel was written by Ronda Rousey and illustrated by Mike Deodato, Jr.

This is the first time DC Comics and AEW have collaborated, making it one of the most talked-about crossovers of 2025.

AEW has built a world that resonates with fans in the same way DC’s superheroes have inspired readers for generations. By bringing Batman, Wonder Woman, and the Justice League face-to-face with AEW superstars like Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega, and Toni Storm, DC x AEW promises to deliver an unforgettable saga that blends the excitement of wrestling with the mythos of comic book legends.

Exclusive Preview at New York Comic Con

Fans attending NYCC 2025 will be the first to grab a limited-edition preview of DC x AEW #1. The crossover will be celebrated with two major events:

  • Panel – Friday, October 10 at 5 p.m. ET (Javits Center, Room 409): AEW CEO Tony Khan, Jon Moxley, Swerve Strickland, Orange Cassidy, and Willow Nightingale will join writer Steve Orlando and artist Travis Mercer for Heroes, Villains, Spaces In-Between: Pro Wrestling and Comic Storytelling.

  • Signing – Saturday, October 11 at 3 p.m. ET (DC Comics Booth #4365): Meet AEW stars and the creative team for a signing of the preview comic. Wristbands will be distributed that morning between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. ET.

When and Where to Buy the Comic

The two-part DC x AEW comic book will officially release in 2026. Fans will be able to purchase copies at:

  • Local comic book shops nationwide

  • ShopAEW.com

  • Select AEW live events throughout 2026

With both standard and variant covers, the crossover will be a must-have for collectors of DC Comics and wrestling memorabilia.

Don’t Miss the Hottest Crossover of 2025

Between exclusive New York Comic Con events, special edition previews, AEW broadcast promotions, and the huge spotlight at AEW Full Gear, DC x AEW is shaping up to be one of the biggest entertainment crossovers of the decade.

Whether you’re a die-hard comic book collector, an AEW wrestling fan, or just someone who loves epic storytelling, this is one event you won’t want to miss.
