Khaos Book Excerpt and Sale

A four-year journey has come to a close with the launch of KHAOS, the final book in my superhero urban fantasy series, Silke's Strike Force! To say I'm celebrating is an understatement!! 🎉🎈

I can't tell you how good it feels to complete this series. I've been playing the triumphant Rocky music since I finished!

This journey started in 2016-2017 with the first book Karma and then went off the rails. There were times I didn't think I would finish writing this at all.

I know it doesn't mean alot to everyone else but it means alot to me to say "the end" and close this chapter in my writer life. I'm proud of myself for finishing. Even when the demons taunted me and said "no one is reading your books why bother?" I powered through because I wanted to finish for me! As I discussed in one of my recent blog posts, persevering towards the completion of a goal is so very important.

My inspirations were Chuck Palahniuk and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. I stopped giving a damn about fitting into a box and I just did my own thing. I like the way Khaos turned out. It's a fast and frenetic adventure like the name implies. A lot of twists and turns even I didn't expect!

I'd love for you to check it out and to celebrate the big launch, I'm running a supersale of my entire series. This includes KARMA which is FREE until February 1st. 🍹🍻🍷

Using her elbow, Silke broke out the rest of the glass and then leaned out the window. Trying to keep a steady aim with her body shaking in shock took some doing. As the trio got closer, she fired off an energy blast from her palm.

Pride stepped in front and took the hit. She only had a partial charge so the impact didn’t faze him as she hoped it would. Pride’s metal endoskeleton beneath his flesh absorbed most of the blast. He staggered backwards where his cohorts caught him and kept him upright.

Silke knew she couldn’t contend with all three of them herself. She leaned back in the car and tried to pry Joe free from the seat. He pushed her back and worked on freeing himself using his enhanced strength.

“Get out of here, Silke,” he told her. “Run!” “I’m not leaving you.” He broke off the steering wheel and started to squirm free when the Squad members were on top of them. Pride rounded to Joe’s side of the car while Lust came for Silke and Envy jumped up onto the hood.

Using his magnetism power, Pride pulled the steering wheel back into place and wedged Joe in further. Silke’s attention turned to Envy as he peered down at her through the windshield. His eyes still held the same malice she saw when he was strangling her.

She extended her arms intent on blasting him off the car but Lust was there to stop her. The femme fatale didn’t bother using her Pheromone Manipulation this time. Instead, she simply punched Silke in the face. The force of the blow knocked her over into the driver’s side where Joe still struggled against Pride’s overwhelming powers.

Silke shook off the hit and turned to retaliate. She took a shot at Lust who managed to duck out of the way of the energy blast just in time. Then it was Envy’s turn to showcase his powers. While the others kept them detained, Envy forced a tattoo upon his body to come alive.

A massive black widow spider rose up from his flesh and pressed itself to the car where it began spinning a web. The silk strands entered through the open windows and began wrapping around both Silke and Joe.

Silke struggled against her bonds but found them impossible to break. Even Joe’s enhanced strength couldn’t pull free. They were caught in the proverbial spider’s web.
